English Is A Necessary International Language

Who does not know that English is an international language? English is an international language because it is one of the oldest languages in the world. English originated in Britain in the 8th century. The development of the English vocabulary was very fast. Harvard University researchers say there are at least 8500 new vocabularies per year. The United Kingdom is also an advanced country, it can be seen from the many innovations originating from the United Kingdom and their advanced level of knowledge. Another thing that causes why English is an international language because the country of England is a country with a record of colonizing most countries. Why do you need an international language? Of course, international language is needed so people from various parts of the world can speak the same language. Just imagine if there is no language used as an international language. Even another non-English country, Indonesia alone, for example, has 1121 languages which were recorded by BPS in 2010. How many languages if all of the world? Of course, international language is needed.

In this age of globalization, it certainly makes our lives easier. One of the effects of globalization is free trade. This will certainly attract foreign investors to invest in the non-English country
